After more than 30 years as a partner at Hogan Lovells, Bruce Parmley recently moved away from “Big Law” but not from his practice, not from his clients, and not from the industry’s radar. Bruce serves as principal and special real estate counsel to sophisticated owner, investor and operator clients, and is regularly involved in transactions in the United States, Central and South America, the Caribbean, the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East. He is a transactional lawyer and negotiates and drafts legal agreements for international luxury hotel, resort and other real estate projects (such as acquisitions, sales, ventures, hotel management, branding, technical services and franchise agreements, financings, leases, restaurant and “celebrity chef” agreements, and related agreements in the luxury and upper scale hotel sectors).

Bruce’s 30+ years of practice as a partner at Hogan Lovells, a major international law firm, included service as the global head of real estate.

Earlier in his career, Bruce was elected twice by his partners to the firm’s Executive Committee, and also served on the firm’s Operating Committee for many years. Bruce is on the Advisory Board for, and has presented to, the Georgetown University Law Center Annual Hotel and Lodging Legal Summit, and has been a guest presenter at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and at the Columbia University Graduate School.
